Getting Cooler

The weather is getting cooler now and is quite enjoyable. We will be going to the Celtic Festival this weekend. Probably on Saturday. Then the guys will go to Dragoon for the 3-D shoot on Sunday. I will post on my blog any pictures that they get. I am still learning how to navigate around and am looking for the photo area.

The 3-D shoot is an all day affair. The guys will get up early; probably around 4:00 or 5:00. The shoot starts at 7:00 a.m. It is a 90 minute drive to the Dragoons. This is a very scenic area in southeastern Arizona. Trails are marked out with 3-D targets along the way. The targets are animals of all varieties. The shoot might take 2 hours. Time depends on how many are in a group; how quickly the group moves from target to target; and how much sightseeing the group does. This is a wonderful time of year to go on 3-D shoots. The guys usually go with a group of three to five friends. They will most likely eat there and not get back home until early to mid afternoon.

Usually in March there is a 3-D shoot in central Arizona. This is a huge shoot which draws families from all over the southwest. We have not yet gone to this one because the drive involved is more than a few hours. Maybe next year we will go and be able to spend the night there.

I think this blog might be heading towards being an archery blog. I think I'm fine with that because as a family we can all enjoy archery. I love that my almost 15-year old son enjoys being outdoors. Although he does have some of the electronics most kids have nowadays, he still likes being outside more than being indoors. What a kid! Gotta love 'im!

Moving?????

Well, thanks to this financial mess, we may -- or may not -- be moving. We have been wanting to move for quite some time. But we are one of the many whose home is valued at less than what is owed on it. Since we have no money saved, if we put the house up for sale now, we would not be able to make up the difference. We have spoken to a realtor we trust and she recommended speaking with our mortgage company. This will be our next step and then we'll go from there. In the meantime, it's the game of wait and see.

I have to admit that blogging is fun. I have started using this as my stress relief. Oh, I could write in a journal. And I might start doing that, too. But this is fun.

Erik and April will be getting married in January 2009. Erik has asked Alex to be his best man. Alex is very excited about this and somewhat nervous at the same time. I told him Erik would not have asked him to be his best man if he didn't think Alex was responsible enough to do it. Since Alex will be 15 by the time the wedding comes 'round, there are certain things he will not be able to do -- the bachelor party is what comes to mind first. But he can be there for Erik and help Erik as he needs it. Erik understands there will be limitations. Maybe this will be the time for Dad to step up. Hope, hope.

Check out www.ezinearticles.com. I have one live article on archery. I have one article pending review. I hope that someone will pick up these articles and I can get some extra money. This financial mess has caused such a shortage all the way 'round.

Till next time...

Back To Work

I've been away from work for two days. Not bad, but considering I am not usually sick, then it's quite a bit. I've changed a few settings on my blog. I hope they are pleasing to the eye. I wll probably change more and most likely on a daily basis. I'm thinking of putting some of my crochet items on here. I wonder if I can do that? Suppose I'll have to check it out.

Til next time,
TTFN (ta ta for now)

New Link

Something new I'm trying; an amazon astore. Please check out my links and go there. I'm sure you'll be able to find something you would like.

Well, school will be over for me in a little over two months. Hopefully I will be able to graduate. If and when I do I will have an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Can't say that I've learned a whole lot more than I already knew after 30 years in this business. I have met some amazing people -- even though it was online. I've met some young people, young parents, newly single parents, non-traditional students with children and grandchildren. But I think the students that impressed me most were those that were in the military and taking online courses. I have to admire that. Everyday their lives are on the line, but they report to school, do their assignments, and graduate. These young people are truly admirable. I will take what I've learned and put it to work in our business. Mike wants to invent more items. When he does, I will have the knowledge to market them. And then we won't have to split the royalties or pay anyone to do it for us.

I have also submitted an article to ezinesarticles. I have not heard back yet -- they say it take 7 - 10 days for review of the first article. I still need a view more days before I hear back. I would very much like ezinearticles to work. I am desperately trying to find a legitimate way to earn some extra money online. This would be one way to do it.

I think I'll sign off for now. Please try my new link for the amazon store. I hope you'll like it. An remember, I would love to hear from you. Comments are always welcome and I will try to respond as soon as possible.

Later,
Betty

New Day to Blog

Well, this is a first for me. I am trying my hand at blogging. I actually enjoy journalling -- when I get around to it. But now I have a chance to blog everyday. I am sure I will not have any troubles finding something to write about; the problem will be finding the time in which to do it. Today's first entry will be short since I am just learning the whole process. I think I shall enjoy this once I get started. I hope it will be very cathartic for me.

If anyone would like to leave a comment, I will respond as soon as possible. I would relish hearing from others.

Thank you,
Betty
